Beachfront location was fantastic. Price was good considering location right on dunes, promenade.
It is a little dated- 80's wallpaper border, decor could use an update. But that would probably drive prices up, making it less affordable as an easy cheap weekend away from town.
Proximity to the sea
1. No air conditioning, so in order to gain air into the room, we had to open the window, however as the hotel is on the beachfront, this is very noisey...late into the night. 2. The bed was possibly 20 years old, very poor comfort level 3. Advertised "continental breakfast" was a complete misinterpretation; just packaged muffins and danishes. No one we met had breakfast there, as there was no room set aside. 4. Describing Ebb Tide as a "resort" is very liberal use of the word!
We have always stayed here whenever we come to Seaside since our kids were little, always had a great room and service. We love the closeness to the beach and town.
We waited too long to make a reservation, so we only got a partial view, next to the loud street and yapping dogs, so could not have our windows open much, which is what I love, to hear the ocean. Also, when we checked in, the gas fireplace didnt work, so maintenance had to come fix it. We had to ask for extra pillows, the room seemed like it had never been updated for years, smelled musty, and the TV was an old style tv, the picture was not that great. We could never hook up to WiFi, and lightbulbs were burnt out. All in all, we feel we may have to break tradition after many many years and try something else next time, sadly.
the view of the ocean and location to shopping
our fireplace didn't work and no screens on the windows
Close to the beach and close to center of town.
Decor was quite dated, and the breakfast minimal. A bit more of a real breakfast would have been appreciated.
Great beach access. Clean rooms. Free parking. Comfortable Right in town for restaurants and shops.
Staff rarely smile or even look in your direction. Could be more friendly and assisting.
The staff was outstanding, I had my 4 teenage daughters with me and they were exceptionally nice. Anything you needed anything the staff was very accomodating! Wonderful vacation and right on the ocean... great!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and well appointed. The view is terrific.
Continental breakfast? I would suggest giving vouchers for other Seaside breakfast places. The "Tang-like" orange juice was undrinkable and the packaged rolls etc. were easy to pass by. Just skip it and take breakfast off of your advertising.
The location of the Hotel was great. Right on the beach and next door to the aquarium. The room was very clean, and everything worked well.
The king bed was saggy and old....needs replacing. The continental breakfast consisted of a choice of two convenience store quality muffins (strawberry or blueberry) and some coffee or tea. I'd expect a bit more for $150 a night. At least a bagel or cereal........
Tina greeted us and helped to make our visit nice. She put us in a ground floor room after she hear my wife had a torn Achilles tendon. Great view.
We only stayed one night.
Maintenance man was really friendly and helpful (responsive).
Cigarette holes in blankets, moth holes in curtains, mattress that sags in middle, backed up toilet, dirty windows...
Ebb Tide was a great place to stay to be right on the beach. It was fairly inexpensive for the location. While the room was a bit dated, it was clean and in good repair.
The continental breakfast was just a sugar drink and prepackaged pastries.
The location was excellent...next to the beach and board-walk.
the pillows were too firm and cramped my neck. the continental breakfast...no real orange juice ..they had possibly Hi-C. No milk was offered or cream. no cereal or fruit. for a diabetic or gluten free diet there was nothing to eat. Very sad for the room price.
I loved being right on the ocean with a great view!
I needed a bigger coffee pot. A cook stove would have been nice, but we did fine without it.
The room was nice.
No view, no internet most of the time. The hotel charged for one day of a third room that I had reserved when my family member was in the hospital and couldn't make it.
